2008 - A Fabulous Year!

Looking back on my year, 2008 has been one of the best years of my life. It's been a year filled with love, laughter, triumphs and achievements. I have so much to be grateful for -
  • Traveling to Beijing, Hong Kong and Thailand with Jen. Our first trip into the big wide world together.
  • Changing my perspective on work which has made all the difference to my life. Learning to love my job for what it is, as oppose to despising it for what it isn't.
  • Winning a MFA for the Singapore Airlines A380 campaign. Winning the MFA has given me recognition beyond FFX. I'm now on the industry score board. Yay me!
  • Winning the FFX Sales Person of the Year Award
  • Working with a new A-Team - we are a stronger, more united team. We won the best dressed team awards at both the Fairfax EOFY Party and the Christmas Party in 2008.
  • Merv and I are still together and have passed a milestone in our relationship. Next year will see the start of a rollercoaster of events which will lead to us starting our lives together.
  • My mum and dad are still so in love. I am so proud of my mum who has broken through her own mental barriers and has become so involved in her community church group and volunteering for Meals on Wheels and other elderly groups. My dad who has worked all his life is starting to ease up, cutting back to working 3 days a week. He's finally learning to relax and enjoy the rewards from a life of hard work.
  • I am so proud of my sister who started her PHD this year. She is going to find the cure for Diabetes! And after a heartbreak last year, she's now happy again with a new guy in her life.
And Christmas this year was everything I envisioned it to be - full of joy and laughter. Uncle Wallace, Auntie Amy, Jerry and Edwin joined us for Christmas dinner on Christmas day. Merv came over, as well as the new addition to our little clan - Steve. Lots of food, lots of laughter, lots of mum's new Christmas punch - it was a fantastic Christmas. :)

Thank you God for a perfect 2008! Thank you for keeping my family happy, healthy and at peace. I look forward to 2009 and hope that it will be full of the same abundance of joy, good health and peace, for everyone.
