12 years

Today is MP and I's 12 year anniversary. It's bucketing down, he's in the study busily hammering out an assignment that's due tomorrow, and I'm typing my first blog post on the iPad.

I woke up early this morning (6:45am), did the washing, emptied the dish washer, looked up a recipe for vegetarian lasagna. MP slowly got out of bed (8:30am) and made a delicious breakfast of tomato, capsicum and cheese omelet on toast. After eating I lined the top of my kitchen cupboards with brown paper (a chore I've been meaning to do for ages), kissed MP goodbye and went out to Macquarie. I was a girl on a mission and left two and a half hours later with orange cushions, underbed storage containers, coat hangers, a cork board, comb (for MP) and a new green bathmat with matching face wash and hand towel. I came home, ate some leftover stir fry with MP, and then made a pumpkin soup for us to take for lunch tomorrow. Then I cleaned the bathroom, visited JW (as mum and dad were there), came back for quick cuddles and a happy snap, and now I'm in bed writing this blog...

It's been the best anniversary celebration, ever.

Why?

Because this is the first year where we're living out the dream we've talked about at every other anniversary, over the past 11 years. Today, we're finally living together in our own home. Our life together as "us" has started and all the events that took place today represents that.

I love, Am loved, Because of you.

Happy Anniversary pooh.
